Exciting Changes to AdNet Membership in 2025!

AdNet is a national membership organization dedicated to community foundation professionals serving in fund development, philanthropic advising, and donor service roles.

We are excited to announce a significant upgrade to our membership structure at AdNet! Starting in 2025, we are transitioning from an individual membership to an organizational-wide membership. This change is part of our ongoing efforts to enhance our value and foster deeper collaboration within our network.

New Membership Tiers

Effective in 2025, here are the new annual membership tiers:

  • $250 for organizations with assets under $100 million
  • $500 for organizations with assets between $100 million and $500 million
  • $750 for organizations with assets between $500 million and $900 million
  • $1,000 for organizations with assets over $900 million

Special Considerations

In recognition of the evolving nature of the field, we are offering two additional options for retirees, former CF staff wishing to remain engaged, and professionals that work with community foundations:

  • $250 for Emeritus members: This rate supports individuals who are retired or transitioning but wish to remain engaged with our community.
  • $500 for professionals providing support or services to community foundations

Memberships are annual and will expire on December 31st of each year and are not prorated. There is no cap on the number of staff members that can participate in organizational-wide memberships.

Why the Change?

After extensive research and discussions with our members, we have decided to update our membership fee structure. Our current individual membership rate has remained the same since AdNet’s inception. However, member feedback indicates that the individual model limits the ability of organizations to fully engage their entire team due to budget constraints. We know that Community Foundation professionals involved in advancing donor services and new business development activities may also have responsibilities that extend beyond the traditional development or philanthropic services departments.

This transition aims to leverage the strength of our entire network and foster greater collegiality both within teams and across the field. By adopting an organizational-wide membership model, we intend to create a more inclusive and collaborative environment where every organization, regardless of size, can fully participate and benefit from our vibrant network. We are confident that this new structure will also allow for collaboration across teams, removing silos and enhancing thought leadership.
