Ferriby Scholarships

Robin Ferriby is a former leader of AdNet from the Community Foundation for Southeast Michigan. While no longer working in the community foundation field, Robin remains deeply grateful for the friendships and strong professional connections he forged during his years as an AdNet member.

In 2019, he created a five-year grant program to offer professional development incentives to AdNet members based on specific criteria. AdNet continues to honor Robin’s generosity by matching his contribution each year to continue the same scholarship levels as recent years.

The Ferriby Scholarship provides the following awards for AdNet members to support professional development opportunities:

• Veteran Member Award – Scholarship amount: $2,500
• This award recognizes the long-term commitment of an AdNet member with at least 10 years of experience in the community foundation field. Their contributions are vital to the professionalism and expertise of our community, preference will be given to those who have shared their time and talents with AdNet and its members. The scholarship recipient will select their own professional development opportunity.

• Smaller Community Foundation Award – Scholarship amount: $2,000
• This award contributes toward a member of a smaller community foundation’s ability to attend the 2026 AdNet Conference, supporting networking and peer learning. It reflects AdNet’s belief that all members, regardless of their foundation’s size, bring significant value. For the purposes of this award, a small community foundation is defined as having fewer than 10 employees or $100 million or less in assets.

• Mentorship Program Award – Scholarship amount: $500
• This award contributes toward the registration or travel expenses of a member who is currently participating in, or has successfully completed, the AdNet Mentor Program as a mentee to attend the 2026 AdNet Conference.
